Apple Bread Recipe

This Apple Bread is perfect for breakfast, brunch, or as a delightful snack. Enjoy!

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a standard-sized loaf pan.
  2. Prepare Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add Eggs and Vanilla: Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Incorporate Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the yogurt or sour cream. Begin and end with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined; do not overmix.
  6. Fold in Apples and Nuts: Gently fold in the chopped apples and nuts (if using) until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  7. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool: Allow the apple bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Optional: Dust with Powdered Sugar Once the bread has cooled, you can dust the top with powdered sugar for a decorative touch.
  10. Slice and Serve: Slice the apple bread and serve. Enjoy it on its own or with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
