Bastien Industries, located in Wendake, Quebec, has been crafting authentic Huron-Wendat moccasins since 1972. Founded by Roland Bastien, the company continues a family tradition of artisanal expertise dating back to 1878, when Maurice Sébastien Agniolen established the first major manufacturing of snowshoes, toboggans, and moccasins in the region.
Today, under the leadership of President Jason Picard-Binet, Bastien Industries employs a dedicated team of artisans who produce approximately 45,000 pairs of moccasins annually. Their products are renowned for quality and authenticity, reflecting a rich heritage of Indigenous craftsmanship.
We warmly invite you to share this call for vendors, artisans, and farmers with individuals who may be interested in becoming a part of our community-driven initiative.
