Open Position: Teníye Associate
Teníye Associate
Job Summary
Reporting to the Store Manager, the Teníye Associate is responsible for maintaining excellent
customer service and processing customer transactions accurately. The right candidate would be a
hard-working individual who enjoys teamwork, provides excellent customer service, has a friendly
and helpful attitude towards customers, and a willingness to continually develop professional
skills and knowledge base.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide product information and recommendations to enhance the shopping experience.
- Ensure all food products are stocked, organized, and displayed attractively.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and assist in inventory management.
- Check the freshness and quality of food items, ensuring compliance with health and safety
standards. - Handle and store food products according to safety regulations.
- Assist in promoting sales, special offers, and new products.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the register.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food market area, including shelves and storage
spaces, food prep area, cooler, freezers and staff room. - Unload delivery vehicles and inspect incoming shipments of stock and supplies.
- Verify contents of shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Document discrepancies and damages and communicate to Store Manager.
- Organize and store received items in designated storage area.
- Sweep and remove debris from sidewalks, parking lots and outdoor areas, as directed.
- Assist in basic snow removal during winter months, including shoveling and salting walkways.
- Empty garbage and recycling bins daily.
- Wipe playground equipment, clean glass doors daily and wash windows as needed.
- Report any safety hazards, damage, or maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
- Assist customers with groceries to vehicles when requested.
- Adhere to sanitation guidelines and ensure all equipment is in good working condition.
- Work collaboratively with other associates to ensure smooth operations.
- Serve customers at the Ice Cream and Coffee counter.
- General store maintenance including, but not limited to sweeping, garbage, bathroom
cleaning, watering of plants and dog park area. - Open and/or close market as required.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Cash-handling and customer service experience is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with customers in a friendly,
enthusiastic, and positive manner in person and over the phone. - Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs.
- Valid Food Safe certification or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to work in a confined space and withstand exposure to heat and kitchen odors.
- Prior experience in food service, cooking, or related field preferred.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Punctual and reliable.

skills and knowledge base. The Food Truck Associate will be responsible for preparing and
serving high-quality food to our customers while providing exceptional service and creating a
memorable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities

- Set up and organize the food truck for service, including stocking supplies and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food truck throughout the shift.

Open Position: Delivery Driver
Delivery Driver
Job Summary
Reporting to the Teníye Market Manager, the Delivery Driver is responsible for operating a
refrigerated cube van to pick up produce orders from suppliers as needed, purchasing the
required items, and delivering them to both Teníye Market and customers.
Responsibilities
- Load, transport and deliver retail orders to clients.
- Purchase, pickup and deliver product, supplies and orders for various departments.
- Review orders before and after deliveries are made to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Abide by all transportation laws, the employer’s safe driving program, and maintain a
safe driving record at all times. - Prepare reports and other documents related to deliveries.
- Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions with customers, vendors, and team
members. - Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid class 5 driver’s licence with a clean abstract.
- Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures and
transportation laws. - Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (sitting for long periods of time,
standing in long line ups, lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds, etc.). - Strong ability to manage schedules, meet delivery deadlines, and work independently with
minimal supervision. - Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Willingness to work varying hours, including weekends or holidays, as needed.
