Loaded Beef Nachos

Instructions: 

  1. Cook the Beef: 
    • In a skillet over medium heat, add the diced onion and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes. 
    • Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute. 
    • Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned (about 5-7 minutes). 
    • Stir in the taco seasoning and water, simmering for about 5 minutes until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat. 
  2. Layer the Nachos: 
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). 
    • On a large baking sheet or oven-safe dish, spread a layer of tortilla chips. 
    • Evenly distribute half of the seasoned beef over the chips. 
    • Sprinkle half of the black beans and half of the shredded cheese on top. 
    • Add another layer of chips and repeat with the remaining beef, beans, and cheese. 
  3. Bake: 
    • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. 
  4. Top and Serve: 
    • Remove from the oven and top with diced tomatoes, avocado, jalapeños, and green onions. 
    • Add dollops of sour cream and sprinkle with fresh cilantro. 
    • Drizzle with hot sauce if desired. 
  5. Enjoy! 
    • Serve warm and enjoy your loaded beef nachos!

  1. For the Beef: 
    • 1 lb ground beef 
    • 1 small onion, diced 
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced 
    • 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade) 
    • 1/2 cup water 
  2. For the Nachos: 
    • 1 bag of tortilla chips 
    • 2-3 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend) 
    • 1 can black beans, rinsed and drained 
    • 1 jalapeño, sliced (optional) 
    • 1 cup diced tomatoes or pico de gallo 
    • 1 avocado, diced 
    • 1/2 cup sour cream 
    • 1/4 cup sliced green onions 
    • Fresh cilantro (for garnish) 
    • Hot sauce (optional)
