Murchie’s Tea

Murchie’s Tea & Coffee, established in 1894 by John Murchie, is one of Canada’s oldest and most respected tea and coffee companies. John Murchie honed his expertise in tea while working for Melrose’s of Scotland, a prestigious tea import merchant, where he delivered tea to Queen Victoria at Balmoral Castle. This early experience inspired him to experiment with blending teas, a passion he carried with him when he immigrated to Canada and settled on the West Coast.

Today, Murchie’s operates multiple retail locations in Greater Vancouver and Victoria, as well as a robust online store serving customers worldwide. They offer over 130 varieties of tea and 25 coffee roasts, all processed at their Delta, BC facility. Murchie’s remains committed to quality and tradition, sourcing the finest teas and 100% Arabica coffees from around the globe, and continuing the art of blending and roasting that has been their hallmark for over a century.
